I originally met Lori and Mike back in 2014, when I helped them downsize and move from the suburbs. We went on several tours before finding the home they ultimately purchased. While it needed work, it had two things you cannot change that are very important: location and natural light. The third most important feature is the floor plan, and this unit had a great one. The finishes were dated, but Lori and Mike saw the value.
After purchasing, they completed a gut rehab, taking the unit down to the studs and renovating it with the highest quality materials—appliances, floors, lighting, tiles, and more. They enjoyed their home for many years before deciding they were ready to return to the suburbs. While on the market we had multiple buyers come through. There were many small details in the contract that I assisted them with, offering advice from my extensive experience and providing resources to address all the items requested. It has been a pleasure working with Lori and Mike several times now throughout the years!
How did you find Millie?
This is the second time we worked with Millie. We initially found her through a good friend.
Did you buy or sell?
We most recently sold the home that Millie helped us buy eight years ago.
Did you use any of Millie’s recommended vendors?
We did, and they were very good. Walter helped us with painting and general handyman checklist items, and Bill did a great job with speciality painting.
What was the most memorable part of working with Millie?
We really enjoy working with Millie. She has a practical approach and doesn’t get easily flustered. She was also very helpful in rectifying issues that came out of the inspection process by providing us with great vendors.
What would you say to a friend about Millie?
Millie is very knowledgeable about the Chicago market, with deep broker relationships. She keeps her eye on the important parts of getting a transaction done, and doesn’t get bogged down by small things that may not matter. She is also so pleasant to be around!
